This set of six vintage Victorian Rococo Revival balloon-back dining chairs beautifully blends mid-century romance with modern eclectic charm. Crafted in the mid-20th century as faithful, high-quality reproductions of 1860s design, these chairs feature elegant curves, balloon-back silhouettes, and coordinating needlepoint seats.
Each chair features a solid hardwood frame with a rich mahogany tone and a hand-carved crest rail with fruit motifs. While the frames are perfectly uniform, each seat features a unique hand-stitched needlepoint floral tapestry. Each seat is a different—together a palette of complementary floral designs and pastel colors that give the set an intentionally “mismatched” curated vibe.
Great vintage condition. The wooden frames are structurally sound and sturdy with only minor signs of wear. The hand-stitched needlepoint seats are clean with no rips or tears. There are few spots on one seat that I have not attempted to remove.
