Vintage Lane Esteem coffee table and step end table set in walnut with woven cane drawer fronts, designed by André Bus and dating to 1964.
Both pieces feature Lane's signature floating tops with gently bowed sides, set on sculpted tapered legs and curved stretchers. The coffee table showcases a richly figured walnut top with banded borders and a single drawer. The step table pairs a lower tier with a raised cane-front drawer for extra storage. Both are stamped with Lane of Altavista, Virginia.
With a 54-inch coffee table and a matching step table, this set anchors a living room with a cohesive look. A natural fit for mid-century modern, Scandinavian, and curated vintage interiors, and easy to pair with warm woods, leather, and rattan accents.
Good vintage condition with minor signs of wear. The upper tier of the step table has a darker area where a lamp once sat, protecting that spot from the sun fading the rest of the top received, and the lower tier has a small dark spot. See pictures for details.
