Beautiful Italian Provincial vintage dining set in great condition. The set includes an extension dining table and eight cane back chairs, including two captain chairs. This set is likely the Cellini line from Thomasville.
The oval table has a decorative radiating veneer top, a shaped molded edge, and fluted tapered legs. It comes with two 20 inch leaves that extend it to 108 inches, so it comfortably seats the whole crowd. Without the leaves, it can seat six.
The eight chairs each have an arched cane back topped with brass ball finials, a fluted tapered front leg, and a teal shell-pattern striped seat. The upholstery is in good shape, and the chairs are designed so the seats are simple to reupholster if you want to update the fabric to suit your space.
This set was kept away from sunlight and was mostly kept covered by a felt protective top—thus it is in great condition for its age with only minor signs of wear. See pictures for details.
